Sips for Summer: Salted Watermelon Slush

Watermelon is a summertime must, including taking center stage in our new favorite cocktail. Meet the Salted Watermelon Slush, a beverage infused with rum, lime juice and our favorite muddled fruit. One sip of this gem and you’ll be a forever fan. It’s our latest installment of the #SipsForSummer series with Glitter Guide. Get ready to cheers with this beauty in hand.

Salted Watermelon Slush

Serves 1Ingredients
  • 4-5 large cubes of watermelon
  • 2 oz rum
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ cup ginger ale
  • Sea salt
Instructions
  1. Rub the rim of the glass with a slice of lime then dip into a shallow plate or bowl of sea salt to salt the rim. Place 1-2 cubes of watermelon in the glass.
  2. In a shaker, crush remaining 2-3 cubes of watermelon with a muddler. Add lime juice, rum, and a pinch of sea salt, then fill with ice.
  3. Shake well and strain into the salted glass.
  4. Top with ginger ale and serve with an oversize straw or spoon.
